The Colombo Medical Faculty Students’ Association held a protest demonstration yesterday 21 at 5 pm near the Lipton Roundabout in Colombo, urging the government to immediately stop the private medical college scam brought by Ranil-Kehelia! and to recruit government allied health graduates on a merit basis!

Immediately reverse the cabinet decision to sell Chilaw Hospital to Lyceum! Stop selling medical degrees obtained from the Kotelawala Degree Shop! Let’s save free education! and the medical students raised banners and chanted slogans, including “Patient’s life is in danger.” The protest lasted for more than an hour and the protesters finally lit torches and expressed their protest to the government.
