According to legal experts, it is against the law to expose the confession made to the media by the owner of the tattoo shop, Dulan Sanjula Silva, who was arrested by the police on suspicion of the shooting death of Surendra Wasantha Perera alias Club Wasantha, alias Karaoke wasantha  by the direction of a high-ranking police officer.
Legal experts point out that before the tattoo shop owner Sanjula was brought to court for the Athugiriya murder incident, exposing him to the media and making a confession and releasing the video footage related to the murder incident to the media was a deliberate act to weaken the investigation.

Club Wasantha was shot and killed on 8 July. In addition to Wasantha, a person named Nayana Vasula Edirisiuriya was also killed. He is said to be a former monk and the husband of singer Sujeewa.
Wasantha’s wife, singer Sujeeva and the tattoo shop owner’s wife are receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital and the condition of Wasantha’s wife Menik Wijewardena is serious, according to hospital sources.

Sanjula was given money to set up a tattoo shop by Loku Patti of Galle, who is currently living in Dubai and who the police say is an underworld leader.

He has deposited one million rupees to Sanjula’s wife’s bank account to start the tattoo shop. Sanjula has invited club wasantha to the opening ceremony of the tattoo shop at the request of Mahesh Dhanushka alias Kethu, a crony of Loku Patti. Wasantha, singer Sujeewa and her alleged husband Nayana Vasula were also invited to the opening ceremony of the shop.

Wasantha lit the coconut oil lamp and opened the shop, then when he was eating milk and rice, two shooters armed with two T-56 firearms entered the Tattoo shop and shot at Wasantha and his group and fled in a white car, as recorded in the CCTV cameras. The police said that the three letters KPI were engraved on the bullets that pierced the bodies of Wasantha and others. Police say that the three letters KPI stands for Kanjipani Imram and he is the person who brought drugs to this country under the pseudonym KPI while smuggling drugs.

The police say that the killing was done on the instructions of Kanjipani Imram, who leads Madush’s group, while Sanjula was given money to set up a Tattoo shop.

Media revealed that Club Wasantha had taken 100 million rupees from Makandure Madush when Madush was alive. Dubai police arrested Madush and Kanjipani Imran in 2019 for a tip supposedly given by Club Wasantha and Annasi Morin. However, the Madush group killed Club Wasantha when they came to know this fact. 
Ex-Air Force Intelligence Keerthi Rathnayake revealed in an interview with journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama that Club Wasantha was invited to the birthday party of Makandure Madush’s daughter in Dubai, but he was unable to attend the party due to his personal reasons but Madush and others were arrested due to a tip given by Annasi Morin.
According to Keerthi Ratnayake, if Club Wasantha was not involved in Madush’s arrest, Madush’s group had no reason to kill him. Is it possible to believe the stories that Club Wasantha was killed for seven million rupees claimed to have been received from Madush?.
But Pradeep Wickramasinghe, who claims to be an independent journalist, told a different story during another interview with Chamuditha Samarawickrama.

Wickramasinghe revealed that Club Wasantha had received between 100 and 150 million rupees 

from Madush  but Club Wasantha had deliberately worked with Annasi Morin help to catch Madush, Kanjipani Imran and others while they were in Dubai. We can see how the police are trying hard to spread the word that Kanjipani Imram’s group killed Club Wasantha. There is a serious doubt as to why the police released the video footage of the shooting incident before starting the investigation into the incident of Club Wasantha.
Usually the police cover the place of a crime with yellow tape to protect the evidence related to the crime and to prevent people who are not related to the investigation from entering the crime area.

However a group of officers who are not related to the investigation entered the Tattoo shop, passing the yellow tape. We need to find out on whose orders the footage was obtained from the CCTV database and released to the media.

The hasty release of the video footage of the crime to the media implies that the people involved in the crime are among the people who ordered the release of the video to the media.

Moreover, a photo of the injured naked dead body of Club Wasantha, who was on a trolley in Homagama Hospital’s mortuary, has been uploaded to the internet, and it is suspected that people are involved in the crime.

If we carefully analyze all this information related to the murder of Club Wasantha, it is clear that the attack on him was not an attack by an individual or a group, but an attack by an enemy front.

ector General of Police, held Sanjula involved in the crime in front of the cameras, made him confess to the media and a senior police officer who was there to remind Sanjula of what he said to the police before speaking to the media. When Sanjula talks about Loku Patti in Galle, a senior police officer asks Sanjula why Loku Patti was against Wasantha, he replies that it is because Club Wasantha is against selling drugs.

Keerthi Ratnayake, a former intelligence officer of the Air Force, says that members of parliament and ministers get their cocaine from Club Wasantha and he is involved in drug trafficking. The police chief has tried to take out an opinion from Sanjula that Patti killed Club Wasantha because he was against drugs.

The shooters used two T56 automatic firearms to kill Club Wasantha. Police told the media that one of those two firearms used for the killing was an LTTE weapon. Without arresting the shooters and firearms, the police said that one firearm used for the shooting belonged to the LTTE. With that statement of the police, a serious question arises regarding whether the police killed Club Wasantha knowingly. It appears the police have jumped the gun to say from the sound of the gun fire they had enough knowledge to say that this firearm belongs to the LTTE.

From Vasantha’s involvement in various crimes his link to the underworld has been revealed with his murder. The police said that a baby revolver (38) was found in Wasantha’s wife’s purse.

1. Club Wasantha is a well-known supplier of high class prostitutes to politicians and rich elites. He has blackmailed politicians and elites by providing women and recording them during their engagements.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s close friend, Club Wasantha, joined the National People’s Force (NPP) Wasantha had released a statement on social media that he would reveal the secrets he knew about politicians. It is possible that Rajapaksa was afraid that the secrets of the Rajapaksa would fall into the hands of Anura Kumara, the leader of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and NPP. That statement may have contributed to hastening his death. Kanjipani and Loku Patti got Sanjula to open the Tattoo shop to kill Club Wasantha, inviting him as a chief guest at the shop’s opening ceremony. It is a contract that Sanjula, the owner of the Tattoo shop, made knowingly. The media had reported that Sanjula’s mother Nilanthi and Loku Patti of Meegettuwatte were involved in drug trafficking. To say that neither Sanjula nor his mother knew that Loku Patti was a disciple of Makandure Madush is unacceptable. An amount of 1.6 million rupees was deposited by Loku Patti to Sanjula’s wife’s bank account through a person in Balapitiya. Although Sanjula lives in Athugiriya, he was born in Balapitiya. It has also been admitted that Sajula’s younger brother spied from the balcony of the Tattoo shop during the shooting. 

When Sanjula was arrested by the police on suspicion of Club Wasantha’s murder, he said that he was a part of this murder of Wasantha on the instructions of Loku Patti. Later, the police brought him in front of the media by changing the script. Sanjula confessed in front of the media and claimed that he invited Wasantha for the opening of the shop, not knowing that Loku Patila was going to kill Wasantha. To whose interest are the police trying to make Sanjula a child?Kanjipani Imram has called Club Wasantha on several occasions and told him to give at least half of the money (700 million) received from Madush to Madush’s wife in Dubai. But Wasantha has ignored Kanjipani’s request by talking about politics, according to underworld sources.

Was Wasantha threatened by Kanjipani Imran? If so, why didn’t Wasantha take notice of it? If Wasantha’s bodyguards had been standing on the balcony near the main entrance to the Tattoo shop, the killer’s target would have been changed. The killers entered the Tattoo shop passing the person carrying a child in the balcony and the young man. Attacks like these involve silencing or subduing every obstacle the killer encounters. But the killers ignored them and pursued the target and fired. One of the two men on the balcony admitted that he was Sanjula’s brother and that he was spying.Police Inspector Rangajeewa says that Madush was shot dead. Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakon has been accused of taking 120 million rupees from Annasi Morin to kill Madush. 
It was also alleged that Deshbandu took 40 million rupees from Ratmalane Anju to kill Roha. An audio clip of IGP Deshbandhu talking on the phone with Anju is also circulating on the internet. Deshbandhu has not denied the voice clip so far.  Rangajeewa is said to have killed Madush on the instructions of Inspector General of Police Deshbandu. When Kanjipani Imran was in love with Deshbandu, who ordered the killing of Mudush, why did Club Wasantha be killed?
