Various stories are being revealed regarding the killing of Wasantha Perera alias Club Wasantha and the killers. Why did Club Wasantha get killed? Who killed him? Who are the killers of Club Wasantha? Investigators investigating the killing of Club Spring must seek answers to those three main questions.

Why was Club Vasant killed? According to the popular story propagated by the police and the supporting media, Club Wasantha was killed because Makandure Madush took money from Madush and joined forces with Ananasi Morin and help to catch Madush in Dubai.

People who claim to be social media and political analysts related to the government are calling different names that Wasantha had to kill herself because he took money from Madush and did not return it. The name of a politician, singer and actor is also stated here.

KeerthiTennakon, a former Air Force intelligence officer, says that Wasantha has taken 70 million rupees from Madush. Pradap Wickramasinghe, a freelance journalist, says that Wasantha owes Madush 1000 crores. Others say Wasantha has taken 10 crores as a loan from Mudush. There are issues regarding the truth and accuracy of the figures. However if Club Wasantha really owes some money to Madush we should correctly search how much the amount is

DId Wasantha really betray Madush? Who told the Sri Lankan security department that Wasantha betrayed Madush who was living in Dubai?

Is it IGP Deshabandu Tennakoon or any other police officer ?Apart from speculations and rumours nobody has factual information about the reason of the murder. Despite Madush having invited Club Wasantha to his daughter’s birthday party in Dubai, a doubt remains why he could not visit due to any other reason.

Former air force intelligence officer Keerthi Tennakoon during an interview in the youtube channel said Wasantha could not visit Madush daughter’s birthday party in Dubai as he had a wedding to be attended the same day.

Apart from that doubt there is no credible information that can be confirmed to say that Wasantha betrayed Madush. Pradeep WIckramasinghe said there is a doubt about the betrayal that Club Wasantha had a connection with Annasi Morin.

Former Deputy Inspector General of Police Priyantha Jayakodi and Public Security Minister Tiran Alles say that they have not received any information about an incident where Club Wasantha betrayed Madush after taking money.

No one has been able to prove the story that Club Wasantha was killed because he betrayed Madush or because he took money from Madush. In order to prevent the revelation of the real killers of the Club Wasantha murder, a propaganda project is underway to credit all the murders to Madush’s account. Madush, who lived in Dubai, was betrayed by Kosgoda Sujee, who the police claim is an underworld leader. He has even given the pictures taken while Madush was driving in Dubai to the State Intelligence Service. Kosgoda Sujee had a close relationship with a sergeant of the State Intelligence Service and through that sergeant, the operation to arrest Madush was launched. The sergeant now works as a police inspector attached to a police station in Kalutara district.

The sergeant, who is said to have had close relations with Sujee, works as a sub-inspector attached to a police station in Kalutara district. It should also be investigated whether there was a relationship between Ananasi Moreen and Kosgoda Sujee at that time. Because Morin has also been accused of betraying Madush.

Threats to Club Wasant

There has been an allegation that Wasantha provided women to politicians, businessmen, top government officials, high ranking police officers and recorded and blackmailed them when they engaged in sex. It is said that politicians, businessmen and high police officers were taken to hotels in Singapore and involved in that smuggling. According to the report, some of those recordings were made at the behest of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, especially politicians. There have also been resentments because Wasantha took money from elite businessmen and did not pay it back.

Wasantha is a close friend of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa for a long time and with the decline of the Rajapaksa’s power, he has turned to the National People’s Force. Wasantha’s photos taken with Anura Kumara and Hadunhettila were also circulated through face books.

Perhaps we can assume that the Rajapaksa regime killed club Wasantha because of the fear that information about Rajapakse would be revealed to Anura Kumara and that Wasantha himself would reveal it in the next election. Rather than saying that Madush’s group killed Wasatha, we can definitely say that Wasantha was killed according to political agendas.

Wasantha was killed inside a tattoo shop in Athuragiriya. There were so many opportunities to kill Wasantha without spending million rupees and setting up a tattoo shop. The Sunday Fun party was held on the main road. Wasantha attended those parties. The public has seen Wasantha getting out of the vehicle and walking along the main road with his wife.

Some people have seen Wasantha recently near Somawathiya in Polonnaruwa. He has gone there with two defenders. Wasantha had no special protection. According to the report, he often goes to Higurakgoda house. Despite that, why did the killers choose the tattoo shop to kill Wasantha? Tatoo shop owner Sanjula told the media that he received money from Loku Patty from Balapitiya to open the Tatoo shop.

The connection between Loku Patty and Wasantha murder needs to be unraveled. It is true that Loku Patty is a disciple of Madush. However, based on the information we have received, Patty has nothing to do with this murder.

Loku Patty has stopped talking about this incident because a red notice has been already issued to bring Loku Patty to Sri Lanka. Like Sanjula, the owner of the tattoo shop, Loku Patty is also from Balapitiya. Who is Sanjula? Did Sanjula really have a relationship with Loku Patty or Kosgoda Sujee should be the focus of the investigators.

Most likely this was an operation done using Loku Patty’s account. Sanjula, who initially said that the tattoo shop was opened on the instructions of Loku Patty to kill Club Wasantha, later revealed that Sanjula did not know that Loku Patty was going to kill Wasantha. Sanjula stated in front of the media, a script written and prepared by the police. When Sanjula forgets the dialogues of the script, it was often reminded by DIG Marapana and another high official.

Even though DIG Marapana got Sanjula to tell those who led the Club Wasantha murder reports reaching us confirms Sanjula asked for an opportunity to make a confidential statement before the Kaduwela Magistrate. As soon as this happened Sanjula’s life was threatened. Due to those threats, he was kept in a special cell in Mahara and Welikada Prisons. Sanjula was produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court on the 22.

It was the police who dragged Madush’s group Loku Patty and Kanjipani into the Club Wasantha’s murder incident. Live ammunition casings were marked with KPI after the ammunition has fired. A journalist who went to the crime scene immediately after the incident told the writer that when he went to the place and took a video, he did not see such a mark on the ammunition. After the ammunition was fired, no one but the police wrote KPI on those casings? This is a very planned attack. In addition to the attackers, a significant number of people were involved in the attack. Sanjula and his brother were also used by those who planned this attack. This is an Easter Sunday style attack.

The purpose of this attack of killing Club Wasantha is to warn the underworld who are against the government as well as the oppressed working public. If the objective of the attack was to kill CLub Wasantha there will be no CCTV cameras fixed.If the Tattoo shop was opened to kill  Club Wasantha, it was a deliberate act to socialize the perpetrators of the attack.

The attacks so far have been carried out avoiding CCTV cameras. But this attack is being detected by cameras. Along with the attack, not only the video footage but also the photos of Club Wasantha’s naked body kept in the mortuary were released on social media. From the exposing the nude photo of Wasantha, the hatred of the group who planned this murder has been leaked.

IGP Deshbandu Tennakon tried to interpret the attack which killed three people including Club Wasantha as a conflict between the underworlds. He told the media that the arms possessed by the underworld have to be taken into custody.

As Sanjula told the media, he got to know Loku Patty through a phone call. Sanjula, who got to know Loku Patty, was given five hundred thousand rupees. Loku Patty has deposited this amount to a bank account of the owner of the house where Sanjula was living on rent. Loku Patty later introduced Sanjula to a person named Mahesh Madusankha alias Kethu.

Sanjula says that since then he has been working under Ketu’s guidance. Whether Kosgoda Sujee appeared under the name Loku Patty or someone else should be investigated because Loku Patty or Kanjipani Imram have no special reason to kill Club Vasantha. Culprits behind the killers are trying to create an opinion that Loku Patty and Kanjipani got together and killed Club Wasantha because Club Wasantha betrayed madush.

It is said that Kosgoda Sujee has a business relationship with Namal and that is why he has a close relationship with IGP Deshbandu Tennakoon. Keerthi Tennakoon, a former Air Force intelligence officer, says about a prince from a powerful political family who is after Madush’s money and that prince might be him.

According to the prison authorities, Kosgoda Tharaka, who was detained in Boossa prison, was taken out for investigation and killed as a result of that close relationship. Kosgoda Tharaka initially worked with Sujee and later separated from him due to a dispute and formed a separate group. Ratmalane Roha was arrested in Negombo by the Peliyagoda criminal investigation Unit. According to reports it it was said rupees forty million was given to the then DIG Deshbandu Tennakon to kill him.

Ratmalane Anju says that Tennakoon was given the money to kill Roha. An audio recording of a telephone conversation between Ratmalane Anju and Inspector General of Police Tennakon is circulating in social media now.

Are the killers connected to the security forces?

Investigators and political commentators including the commander of the Special Task Force, Senior Superintendent of Police Waruna Jayasundara, say that the killers who killed Club Wasantha are well-trained security forces.

The killers attack the building where the tattoo shop is located and a third person in the vehicle in which the shooters came was holding a gun and is ready to face in case of a sudden attack.
The attackers who entered the tattoo shop first fired a burst to knock down Wasantha and others, and then the second gunman came forward and shot the fallen people in the head. 
Shooters enter the tattoo shop and attacked like sea waves. When one magazine ran out, switching to the other machine attached to the last one and keeping it under lock and key shows that they are trained security personnel.

The Athurugiriya police station is about 150 meters away from the tattoo shop. In addition to the police, there is an archaic house belonging to the Police Special Task Force nearby. In spite of the security camp, the killers who broke into the middle of a city in broad daylight, shot two people and fled. 

The public is not safe because people are killed in broad daylight. This country has also become a Chicago City. The media showed the Kaduwela Acting Magistrate questioning a police officer who came to the scene to conduct the post mortam investigation whether the police department has no shame.

The shooters came in a white car to kill Club Wasantha. They then shifted from a car to a van and back to a van. Where did they go after that and did they change vehicles again? The police do not have any information. Did any higher authorities influence the police not to check the CCTV cameras in the road. 

The attackers were able to attack and flee safely with the help of the security forces. At the time of the attack, the shooters could have been apprehended if the Athurigiriya police had informed all the police and mobile checkpoints at the time of the attack. But police sources say that Athurigiriya police have not followed such a step to catch the shooters.

The investigative team investigating the murder has not used CCTV to catch the shooters. The images of those shooters have not been displayed to the public and sought any help to catch the perpetrators. 

Before capturing the guns and the gunmen, the police claim the weapons used for the killing belongs to the LTTE  and the the shooters were able to flee to another country not from Mannar but from the southern coast using a trawler yacht. 

Police were pretty confident the gunmen escaped by a trawler yacht but they do not know who the people were on that trawler.  

The cat is out of the bag

On July 13 Club Wasantha’s body was  buried. However on the same day before the Mahragama cemetery a banner was displayed stating “Our beloved brother, we are sending one by one, look after them until we come”

Parallel to that, posters were put up threatening to kill Kanjipani’s family in the Dematagoda area that evening. Not only a banner but also a candle was lit in front of Madush’s statue.

“Our beloved brother, we are sending one by one, look after them until we come” was written on the banner. It is a threat that you will also will be sent where Madush is. However the media promoted the killing of Club Wasantha as an adventure by Madush’s team. According to the report, the banner displayed on the fence of the Maharagama cemetery and the poster on the border of Kanjipani Imran in Maligawatte are the work of the Police Special Task Force. Two young men who came on an RZ type motorcycle have fixed the banner on the cemetery fence. They came without helmets. The Inspector General of Police has made media shows that those who promote the underworld will be severely punished, but so far no one has been arrested in this regard.

After twenty-five days, Kapila Kumara, who was abducted by the Police Special Task Force in Horowpatana area of Anuradhapura, was produced to the Elpitiya court by the Pitigala police. The Prisoner’s Rights Organization and the families of the disappeared protested in front of the Elapitiya court demanding the immediate release of Kapila Kumara. The police special task force protested against it by deploying a group of bestial group.

They were standing in front of the court holding placards stating that the underworld should be destroyed and that Sudesh Nandimal, the president of the Committee for the Protection of Prisoners’ Rights, has been under the money of the underworld.

Later, the Police Special Task Force was accused of putting up a poster against Kapila Kumara’s mother, Nelum Kumuduni Jayasekara, in Galle Akurala area, saying that underworld Amma should be kicked out.

The police special task force tried to create a conflict between us by using infantry personnel against the protest held by the Colombo Action Committee, the Turtle Action Committee and the Prisoner’s Rights Protection Committee in front of Fort Railway Station.

In front of the office of the President’s counsel Saliya Pieris, a group of people who claimed to be the relatives of those who were killed by Harak Kata held a protest against Harak Kata, a drug trafficker.

There is a similarity between the text of the posters displayed by the Police Special Task Force in Elpitiya and in Colombo, and the text of the poster posted at Kanjipani’s house saying that people would be killed.

We have a serious suspicion that the Special Police Force is behind the poster culture as well as the Club Wasantha murder. Kosgoda Sujee has a strong connection with the Balapitiya Police Special Task Force camp, the YouTube channel has revealed with names.
