A protest was held opposite the Fort Railway Station on 23 of April at 3 pm, demanding that the Israeli Netanyahu regime, backed by the imperialists, immediately stop the genocidal war against the Palestinian people.

About 400 people, including representatives of leftist parties, trade unions, capitalist parties and civil society organizations, participated in this protest.

The protesters held placards with slogans such as “Let’s expel Israeli war criminals residing in Sri Lanka, immediately stop the Palestinian genocide, oppose the Trump-Netanyahu genocidal war, immediately stop the Palestinian genocide, fight for an Israel-Arab Socialist Republic, and immediately end diplomatic relations between Sri Lanka and Israel!” and vociferate slogans for nearly an hour.
