Currently, those working in the police and those who have left the army, who are involved in the underworld are being questioned and some have even been arrested. The Minister said that the progress of the investigation will be known in the future.

Several suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder that took place in Middeniya. But we see that proper investigations are not being carried out because I went to that area and even met the relatives of the deceased.

A person named Kajja, who died recently, handed over 38 kilos of drugs to the Embilipitiya police a few years ago. These drugs are reported to be the drugs belonging to Mideegama Nadun Chinthaka alias Harak Kata. When the Embilipitiya police seized this drug, the Police Special Task Force came and arrested Kajja, saying that they had not been tipped off. However two kilos of this 38 kilos of drugs were missing. The Police Special Task Force arrests Kajja to find the missing two kilos of drugs. There is even a voice recording of the Special Task Force threatening to kill Kajja if he does not return the two kilos of the missing drugs. During an interview Kajja revealed this in a YouTube channel that he was the one who seized the 38 kilos. Following this Kajja and his two children were shot to death. The gruesome part was
two children were targeted and shot in their heads. There are also allegations that a politician from the Rajapaksa family was involved in the murders. I would like to know what is the status of the investigations into this murder and can we be satisfied with the investigation?

We will let you know about the progress of the investigations in the future. Those activities are currently underway. If the area people know more information, please give that information to the police.We need to disrupt the activities of these armed groups. Find out the political connections that are tied to those groups. We need to implement the law to uncover the black money and drug trafficking that is associated with these groups. As you can see, this is not a simple matter. It is not an isolated shooting incident. There is a big network connected with this. Some roots of these underworlds have infiltrated the government. They have infiltrated the security forces and the police also. Investigations are ongoing. Finding this network is our challenge.
